Challenges happen. They are a fact of life and business, especially for entrepreneurial women like us. You know what I mean, right?!

So what do we do when things get tough? We focus on something that motivates us to push forward, no matter what is going on.

Throughout the years, I’ve discovered that focusing on positive messages is the key to helping me get to where I need to go.

Let’s look at three concepts I use to guide me regularly. Let’s look at why I use them for motivation and strength.

Bless Their Socks Off.

Did you know that we are called to bless others? You may not realize it, but serving others will create win-win situations. (See Gen. 12:2, 2 Cor. 9:8)

Zig Ziglar said: “You can have everything in life you want if you will just help enough people get what they want.”

By cheerfully giving and showing up authentically, you receive love, peace, and so much more. The key is to bless others without expecting anything in return. (See Luke 6:35b)

Be Consistent.

It’s a fact that consistency creates success. This concept applies to everything from exercise to showing up in your business. Whatever you focus on consistently will change, improve, and grow.

Best-selling author Gretchen Rubin says it best: “What you do every day matters more than what you do once in a while.”

I truly believe that the secret to reaching ANY goal in life boils down to being consistent. No matter what area of life you’re working on–personal, professional, health & wellness, financial, relationships–set goals, make a game plan, and create habits. When you follow through consistently, you are guaranteed to see results. (See Gal. 6:9, Eccl. 9:10)

Look Up!

Sometimes it may feel like you’re a one-woman show, but you’re not. Why? Because THE Creator of the Universe is walking by your side. (See Deut. 31:8 & Joshua 1:9)

The words “Look Up!” remind me about WHO is in control. God’s opinion matters more than any others. He holds ALL the answers. He gives us the strength, hope, peace, and joy we need.

When things don’t go the way we planned… When confusion, weariness, or sadness creeps into our world. We need to remember that we have an audience of ONE. We simply need to look up.
