The tone in our voice can speak LOUDer than the words we speak.  It’s easiest to show our true feelings with those who are closest to us by the tone in our voice; frustration, anger, disappointment, etc.  However, it is NOT always the most effective.  If you’re looking to get different results from others, pay attention to your tone, your delivery while communicating.  A small change in this area could go a long way.

  1. I love this! I am always having to remember that it’s not necessarily what I say but how I say it. Kind of the “bless your heart” theory that we say in the south. It is said with sugary sweetness but everyone knows what it really means! Thanks for the reminder today!
