Virtue: Joy

Joy [joi] — noun; the emotion of great delight or happiness caused by something exceptionally good or satisfying; keen pleasure; elation. comfort. bliss.

One of the fruits of the Spirit – joy comes from God and dwells deep in our hearts. Although joy and happiness can be felt together — when we experience the indescribable feeling of true God given joy, no trial, obstacle, or “storm” in our life can shake it…

Joy remains. It is solid.

It’s a fruit that we bear as we walk and live in relationship with God.  The joy of the Lord is our strength!

“You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.” 1 Thessalonians 1:6

I pray, “May my children be filled with the joy given by the Holy Spirit.  And Father, may I always choose to see life through lenses of joy. Amen.

“Joy is the feeling of grinning inside.” – Melba Colgrove
