Daily KIP: Do you feel a storm internally when faced with having to make tough decisions? Confronting a friend on a sensitive subject, or approaching family about changes that need to be made? Often we allow our minds to race and put these things off out of fear; anticipating what might happen. Rather than dreading these difficult situations or putting them off, take action in confidence. Move ahead boldly.
Daily KIP: Caring for one another is more important than personal gain. “He who gives to the poor will lack nothing.” ~Proverbs 28:27 Be open minded about this verse; giving doesn’t have to be money and poor means lacking in a specified resource or quality. Who around you is “poor”? Not just financially, but in spirit, emotionally or physically? What can you do today to “give to the poor”?
Daily KIP: Do you ever read something or hear a powerful message and instantly think, “Oh, this applies so much for ‘Jane Doe’. She definitely needs to hear or read this, she will get so much out of this!” When, in actuality YOU should be the one really taking the message to heart. So often we focus on what needs to be changed or helped in others that we miss what needs to be changed in ourselves.
Daily KIP: Tolerance could be described as being a door mat, being passive, and accepting of all things and ideas. But, it can also be described as being respectful, understanding and non-judgemental of others or situations. Tolerance seems to be a “grey” area NOT black and white. What does “Tolerance” mean to you?
Daily KIP: What is your problem-solving process? Who or what do you trust and turn to when you’re faced with an important decision or problem?
Daily KIP: Lazy means resistant to work or exertion; disposed to idleness. Slow-moving, sluggish. Days can FLY by because we are so busy doing what needs to get done. We would consider ourselves to be anything BUT lazy, right? Think about this, what areas of your life fit into the lazy category? What are you resisting to work on or what has become idle? Sometimes we don’t see our laziness because of our busyness.
